Screenshots show slightly changed interface Samsung One UI 5
Screenshots of Samsung One UI 5 for Galaxy phones have emerged. That is the interface that the market leader will use on Android 13. The screenshots show slight changes compared to the current One UI.
The screenshots come from telecom journalist Max Weinbach, which she published on 9to5Google. He was able to try an internal build of the software forwarded to him from an unnamed source.
The build includes new gestures for using multitasking. They are currently not active. Swiping up with two fingers would allow users to open splitview, while it would be possible to make a window pop-up by swiping down from the top right.
Notifications have new, larger icons. Also menus to ask for permissions look different. Instead of the style used by Samsung itself, it seems that Samsung will show the Google windows. They are also in the middle of the screen, instead of at the bottom. In addition, there is now an ultrawideband toggle and users can copy and paste text from images using the keyboard.
Samsung will presumably show off One UI 5 as it rolls out its first public betas for Android 13 upgrades. That will probably happen this fall. Samsung is the first to release upgrades for its high-end models. There is no roadmap yet for when which phone will get the upgrade to Android 13.
