Screenshots published by 9to5Mac show the upcoming Dark Mode of iOS in the Music app. The change is in iOS 13, which Apple is likely to announce next week at its WWDC developer event.

The screenshots 9to5Mac got their hands on aren’t mock-ups, writes the site, which has good resources about upcoming Apple releases. The Dark Mode can be switched on in the Settings app and the option will also be accessible via the Control Center.

On the home screen, you can only see that the dark mode is turned on at the Dock, the row of standard apps at the bottom: around that is a somewhat darker semi-transparent display. In apps, Dark Mode can be much more prominent. In the Music app, the background is completely black.

With the arrival of iOS 13, the display also changes when taking screenshots. Then a menu of image editing tools will appear and iOS will blur the background.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off on June 3. The company is expected to announce new versions of its operating systems there.
