Stray has been postponed for the second time; the release of the sci-fi cat game is now slated for summer this year. It is not known why publisher Annapurna Interactive has postponed the game. Stray is out for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and via Steam.

Initially, Stray would be released ‘late 2021’ for the relevant platforms, but later this became ‘early 2022’ for unknown reasons. This week, the official PlayStation Twitter channel published a video of some highly anticipated indie gamesincluding Stray, the cat game that the video says won’t be released until summer 2022.

Stray is an adventure game in which the player takes on the role of a cat accompanied by a drone called B-12. The game is set in a fictional Hong Kong-inspired city, Fallen City. Humans have left the city, but humanoid robots and other futuristic creatures are still present. In the game, players have to solve puzzles, defeat enemies and explore the game world. Stray is made by a small French studio, BlueTwelve Studio, which was created especially for the game.
