Sapphire quietly introduces Nitro LTC cooler for AMD socket AM4 . CPUs
Sapphire has quietly introduced a compact Nitro LTC processor cooler. This CPU cooler is compatible with AMD’s socket AM4 and can cool processors with a TDP up to 100W. It is unclear whether the cooler will be released in Europe. The suggested retail price is also unknown.
The Sapphire Nitro LTC was noticed by Twitter user momomo_us. The cooler has a single-tower design and has five nickel-plated heatpipes, with which the CPU cooler can cool AM4 CPUs with a TDP of up to 100W. According to the company, the cooler is suitable for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 5 3600X and Ryzen 7 3700X, among others. On paper, the CPU cooler is therefore not suitable for sufficiently cooling AMD processors with a higher TDP, such as the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with a TDP of 105W.
The CPU cooler has a single 90mm fan with individually controllable RGB LEDs. It is a pwm fan with a speed of 450 to 4500rpm. The Nitro LTC has dimensions of 92.5mm wide, 105mm deep, 134mm high and weighs 680 grams. With that height, according to Sapphire, the cooler could possibly fit in 3U server housings. The processor cooler also gets pre-installed thermal paste, although the brand is unknown, Tom’s Hardware writes.
Sapphire is best known for its video cards, but this isn’t the company’s first processor cooler. In 2012, the manufacturer already announced its Vapor-X processor cooler. That was a larger single-tower cooler that came with two 120mm fans. Until now, this was the company’s only CPU cooler, until the new Nitro LTC appeared on the company’s Chinese website. It is not known if and when the new Nitro LTC cooler will appear in European stores and what its suggested retail price will be.
