Sapphire Announces Two Radeon 6700 Cards Without RX Prefix
After the first images of the video card appeared on Thursday, Sapphire itself announced the Radeon 6700 series on Friday. These are cards without an RX prefix, with 10GB of memory and fewer compute units than XT variants.
Sapphire’s Radeon 6700 Series consists of a regular Radeon 6700 and a almost identical Pulse version. Both have a Navi 22 GPU with 36 compute units, or 2304 stream processors, with a game clock speed of up to 2230MHz and a boost clock speed of up to 2495MHz. Both have 10GB GDDR6 memory with a speed of 16Gbit/s.
Sapphire provides the cards of its Dual-X cooling with two fans. The total board power is 220W. These are the first RDNA 2-based cards without an RX prefix. The cards have the same specifications as the RX 6700M for laptops, but they have a tbp of 135W. VideoCardz points out that Sapphire also a card for crypto mining with the same configuration, the BC-2235 GPRO X080.
Tech website Cowcotland already showed images of Sapphire’s Radeon 6700 models on Thursday. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed recommended retail prices. It may be an OEM model.
