Samsung unveils smart fridge with 32″ screen
In the run-up to CES 2023, Samsung is already unveiling the Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus, a smart refrigerator with a 32-inch screen in the door. The tech giant has not yet announced a release date or suggested retail price.
The touchscreen with full HD resolution has multiple functions, writes Samsung in the press release. For example, connected devices with Samsung’s SmartThings system can be controlled from the Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus. The brand says it wants to create a hub for IoT devices.
In addition, users can watch videos on the screen via well-known services such as YouTube and Facebook, study recipes and watch TV programs via the Samsung TV Plus app. This service is currently only available in South Korea and the United States. In the latter country, users can also order products through Amazon’s Your Essentials service. There is also support for Google Photos, displaying art via the Bespoke Atelier app and showing your own photos via the Family Hub Plus application.
Samsung has been making smart refrigerators with screens for some time, but as far as we know, this is the largest screen that the South Korean brand has incorporated in a refrigerator. Previously, Samsung used a 21-inch screen in the Family Hub refrigerator, which largely supported the same functions.
