Samsung will release the C24FG70 gaming monitor in October for a suggested retail price of 449 euros. The 24″ monitor with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels has a response time of 1ms, a refresh rate of 144Hz, support for AMD FreeSync and a contrast ratio of 3000:1.

Samsung already unveiled the 24″ and 27″ variants of the gaming monitor last month, along with all kinds of other monitors, in an unobtrusive YouTube video. What the company did not disclose at the time, however, were the resolution of the panels and the prices. The data is still unknown for the 27″ version, but is now known for the 24″ version. It concerns a monitor with a VA panel, which, according to Samsung, uses quantum dot technology.

The screen is also curved to give players more of the feeling that they are in a game. The bend amounts to 1800R, or the radius of the imaginary circle around which the screen bends is 1.8 meters. In addition, there is an LED light that shines downwards on the back of the monitor. The intensity of this light varies with the sound of the game. Furthermore, the arm has several joints and must therefore be easily and extensively adjustable.

The 27″ variant of this monitor, the C27FG70, is known to support Nvidia G-Sync instead of AMD FreeSync. Furthermore, the resolution of this screen is still unknown, but it will probably be 1440p soon. the larger variant remains unknown at the moment Samsung currently has demo copies of the 24″ gaming monitor on display at the Gamescom fair in Cologne.
