Samsung has started the sale of a Frame TV model with a screen diagonal of 43 inches. The smaller version will be launched alongside the 55″ and 65″ version of the television with a ‘picture frame’ design. The suggested retail price is 1499 euros.

The 43″ version of the LCD TV The Frame is available at the first online stores, according to Pricewatch. Samsung announced the third model in its The Frame series during the IFA electronics fair in Berlin in September. The models with 55″ – and 65″ screens have been available in the Benelux since June, for suggested retail prices of 2399 euros and 3199 euros respectively.

The Frame is an LCD TV with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and support for HDR. The TV has four HDMI and three USB ports. The manufacturer focuses on wall-mounted use, where the TV should serve as a picture frame or artwork if it is not displaying a TV signal, including pass-partout and interchangeable frames. Samsung provides The Frame TVs with more than a hundred works of art that can be displayed.

In addition, users can set the screen to display their own images. A motion sensor detects whether people walk in or out of the room, with which the Art Mode can be switched on or off automatically.
