Samsung has announced a number of monitors at the CES electronics fair. One of them is the new Odyssey Neo G9, the manufacturer’s first model with an ultra-wide version of a 2160p resolution. In addition, the company presents a 49″ OLED monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The Neo G9 G95NC has a 57″ screen with 7680×2160 pixels, says Samsung. It is a 32:9 ratio, which Samsung often uses on its wide monitors. The latest Neo G9 has a 1440p resolution and a diagonal of 49″. Like its predecessor, the new G9 also refreshes at 240Hz.

The monitor probably has a VA panel and at least a mini LED backlight, although it is not clear how many individually dimmable zones there are. The screen is also matte and has a curvature of 1000R, which is equivalent to the curvature of a circle with a radius of one meter.

The monitor supports DisplayPort 2.1 and Display Stream Compression. It is still unknown when the monitor will be released and at what price. Samsung was already known to be working on the monitor, as AMD mentioned its existence in its keynote.

The new version of the Smart Monitor M8 includes a 32″ version now also has a 27″ version. What is also new is that users can tilt the screen. The built-in webcam has been upgraded to ‘2K’. Samsung does not disclose release dates and prices for the other monitors either.
