Samsung shows thin monitor that can be connected to others without cables
Samsung has unveiled an ‘ultra-thin’ 4K 32″ LED monitor that can be linked to other monitors of the same series without having to connect them with cables. It seems to be just a concept for now.
Although Samsung is not showing the so-called The Link monitor at CES, it has appeared on the website of the fair, where he won an Innovation Award. The site states that this is the first monitor that can connect different monitors without a separate cable. This allows users to connect ‘as many monitors as they need’, it says.
In an earlier version The description called The Link ‘the thinnest and lightest 4k 32″ LED monitor in the world’, but that claim was later removed. The text stating that daisy chains and pogo pins are used for linking is also no longer present.
The monitor appears to have three connections: one for HDMI, one for power, and a USB-C port. SamMobile writes In addition, The Link contains built-in speakers. No further information will be released. Only a concept image has been shared, so it is unclear whether the product is in development. It is therefore still uncertain whether and when it will actually be brought onto the market.
