Samsung shows render of suspected Galaxy Note 8
Samsung has shown a render of what will probably turn out to be the Galaxy Note 8. The hardware maker showed the render in a tweet about the Exynos 9, the soc that is also in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. However, the device shown is not an S8 variant.
The image in the tweet shows the soc on the housing of an unknown smartphone with thin screen bezels. Because the bottom of the device is not visible, it is unknown whether it is really a Note device. They distinguish themselves with a place to store the stylus of the phone.
Rumors have it that Samsung will showcase the upcoming phone at the end of August at an event in New York. It would be the first high-end phone from Samsung with a dual camera. How Samsung will use the second lens is still unclear.
The Note 8 would have a 6.3″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels, slightly larger than the 6.2″ screen of the S8+. Just like the S8, it would be an extended screen with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
The Note FE was recently released, a refurbished Note 7 with a smaller battery. A teardown from iFixit shows that the Note FE’s battery is newer and has a slightly smaller volume and slightly lower weight than the original Note 7.
