Smart Monitors

The Smart Monitors were announced earlier this year at the CES fair and have been available in South Korea for some time, but Samsung has now announced European prices and release dates. The top model, the Smart Monitor M8, costs 699 euros. This screen has a diagonal of 32 inches, a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz and a brightness of 400cd/m².

The M8 is the only monitor in the series with an AI processor. This makes AI upscaling possible, with which images from the built-in smart TV apps can be scaled up to 4k quality. According to the South Korean manufacturer, it is also possible to use the Active Voice Amplifier Pro function to make the sound of voices more intelligible in high ambient noise. This option also only works with the smart TV apps.

Samsung is also launching the Smart Monitor M7, which is available in 32″ and 43″ formats, with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz and a brightness of 300cd/m². The entry-level model costs 399 euros. Finally, Samsung is releasing an M5 model, available in 27″ and 32″ sizes, with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz and a brightness of 250cd/m². This model has a starting price of 249 euros. All Smart Monitors are available for immediate purchase.
