Samsung presents the Galaxy A12 and A02s, budget smartphones with a 5000mAh battery that will be released in January and February 2021. Prices are not yet mentioned by the manufacturer, but it seems to be devices of less than 150 euros.

Samsung does not yet mention all specifications of the Galaxy A12 and A02s, but it does indicate in general terms which features the devices are equipped with. Both phones get an unnamed octacore-soc. It is not the same soc, because the clock speeds of the chip in the A12 are different.

The phones will have a 6.5 “LCD with an HD + resolution. Presumably this will be a resolution of 1600×720 pixels, based on the 20: 9 screen ratio. At the top of the screen there is a notch for the front camera.

The Galaxy A12 has a fingerprint scanner on the side, Samsung does not mention that feature at all for the A02s. The battery with 5000mAh is the same for both devices and the same applies to the charging speed. There are four cameras on the back of the Galaxy A12 and three on the A02s. The A12 has higher resolution sensors as well as more ram and flash storage.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy A12 will be released in January next year and the A02s will follow in February. Prices will be announced by the manufacturer later. The devices are the successors of the Galaxy A11 and A01s, which are currently available at web stores for less than 140 and 120 dollars. These are the cheapest models in Samsung’s Galaxy series of Android phones.
