Samsung shows bendable 105″ UHDTV
Samsung has shown a bendable UHDTV with a screen diagonal of 105 inches at the IFA. The manufacturer will present a line-up of seventeen curved televisions at the electronics fair, with sizes from 48 inches and with a full-HD resolution, in addition to the UHD models.
Samsung is investing heavily in curved TV screens this year. However, many users find a TV that is as flat as possible useful. That’s why Samsung is working on models that can switch between a flat and a curved position. At the IFA in Berlin, Samsung presented the Bendable UHD TV, a version of its 105″ UHDTV released in June that can be converted into a curved mode. Samsung did not give many details about the device, except that it has UHD dimming and It is not the first bendable TV, LG has already demonstrated such a device and Samsung itself showed an 85″ copy at CES at the beginning of this year.
Samsung has expanded its line of curved televisions to seventeen models, ranging in size from 48 to 105 inches. It’s not just about UHD models, but also about Full HD TVs. This will probably make curved televisions a lot more affordable this year, although the Korean company has not yet released such details. Samsung has already announced that it is investing heavily in curved, but not everyone is convinced of the advantages of these screens.
