Samsung secretly limits performance apps on smartphones, and we saw that before

Samsung limited the performance of many apps that users open daily, but not that of benchmarks, this week showed. The ‘Game Optimizing Service’ is yet another example of a smartphone manufacturer that makes the soc work harder when benchmarks are running.

It was a hot item seven years ago: literally then. We had the HTC One M9 on the news and that phone turned out to be quite warm. In benchmarks, the case of the device warmed up above 55°C, while other phones remained below 42°C. And if you just used the phone? Then nothing happened.
