Samsung releases new versions of The Frame TVs with picture frames
Samsung releases new versions of its televisions with picture frames. The 2018 models offer access to the Samsung Art Store, where users with a subscription of five euros per month can download art to display on the screen.
Samsung will release The Frame 2018 models from this month in 43″, 49″, 55″ and 65″. The prices are respectively 1499, 1899, 2199 and 2999 euros. This means that the large new models are slightly cheaper than the variants that came out in 2017; the 55″ and 65″ versions then cost 2399 and 3199 euros. The price of the 43″ model is unchanged, a 49″ model was not there last year.
The new televisions with picture frames were already announced in July. The 4k TVs have received support for HDR10+, among other things. The new models also have access to a wider range of artworks to display. According to the announcement, there are more than a thousand works of art to choose from. Furthermore, the The Frame 2018 TVs have Bixby, so they can be operated with voice commands.
The TVs also give access to the Samsung Art Store. Users can take out a subscription for five euros per month and thus gain access to a growing art collection with works from museums and galleries. It concerns various forms of art, from drawings to photography and modern painting. The TVs have built-in sensors that adjust the picture to the ambient light when the TV is not in use.
The TVs can be combined with different frames. There are four versions: black metal, white metal, light wood and dark wood. The TVs come with one frame of your choice, additional frames can be purchased separately.
