Samsung releases Galaxy Tab A with 8″ display

Samsung has presented a new tablet. The new Galaxy Tab A is a tablet with an 8 “screen, which falls within the middle line of Galaxy devices. Prices and release dates are not yet known.

The new tablet is only eight millimeters thick and weighs 345 grams, Samsung said in a press release. The device also has a metallic design. The tablet falls within the Galaxy A series, the middle class of Samsung devices. Officially, the device is called the Galaxy Tab A (8.0, 2019).

The 8.0 in the name beats the screen diagonal, which is eight inches. The wxga display has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. There are two stereo speakers on the front of the device, and the tablet has two cameras. The rear camera has eight megapixels, the front camera two. The device has a Snapdragon 429-soc and 2GB of ram, runs on Android Pie, and has 32GB of storage. That can be expanded to 512GB via the micro-SD slot. The battery has 5,100mAh, but must be charged via a micro-USB port.

The tablet will be available in two colors, black and gray. Prices and release dates have not yet been announced, but Samsung does say that buyers will receive two months of YouTube Premium and three months of Spotify Premium for free with the purchase.
