Samsung releases Galaxy Book Odyssey gaming laptop in the United States

Samsung has announced three new Galaxy Book laptops. The company is introducing a Galaxy Book Odyssey, a Galaxy Book 360 Pro 5G and a regular Galaxy Book. The laptops include Intel Tiger Lake CPUs.

Samsung reports on its website that the Galaxy Book Odyssey and Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G will be released on November 11, and that the regular Galaxy Book is now available via the company’s webshop. The laptops will be released in the United States; it is not yet known whether the company will also come with European variants. All three laptops come with Windows 11.

Galaxy Book Odyssey with RTX 3050 Ti for gamers

The Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey is aimed at gamers and comes with an Intel Core i7-11600H, a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q from Nvidia and up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage. The Odyssey variant has a 15.6″ LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and includes support for Wi-Fi 6E.

The company provides the Odyssey variant with an 83Wh battery. The laptop has two USB-C connections, three USB 3.2 type A connections, a 3.5mm jack for audio and a microphone, and a MicroSD card reader. The Galaxy Book Odyssey has a suggested retail price from USD 1400, which, converted and including VAT, amounts to approximately EUR 1458. For that amount, Samsung supplies a variant with 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD.

Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G and ‘regular’ Galaxy Book

The 5G variant of the previously released Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a touch-sensitive and folding 13.3 “amoled screen with a full HD resolution. The company also includes an S-Pen stylus, although the laptop has no place The laptop comes in variants with an Intel Core i5 1130G7 with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, or an Intel Core i7-1160G7 with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD.The two laptops use an Intel Iris Xe MAX -gpu.

The notebook features a USB-C connector with Thunderbolt 4 support and two other USB-C ports, a 3.5mm combo jack and a MicroSD card reader. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G supports standard Wi-Fi 6E, 5G and Bluetooth 5.1. The 13.3″ model will also be available from USD 1,400, or EUR 1,458 with VAT.

According to Samsung, the regular Galaxy Book will receive a touch-sensitive 15.6 “LCD with full HD resolution. The company will supply a Core i5-1135G7 variant with 8GB of memory and 256GB storage, while a model with Core i7-1165G7 will be available with 16GB memory and 512GB storage Both models use an Intel Iris Xe MAX GPU.

The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and has a 54Wh battery. Samsung provides the Galaxy Book with two USB-C connections and two USB 3.2 type A connectors, in addition to an HDMI port, a MicroSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo jack. This notebook has a suggested retail price starting at $750. Converted and with VAT, that is 781 euros.
