Samsung releases Android 4.4 update for Galaxy Note II
After the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4, among others, received an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat, the Galaxy Note II now also gets the update. According to SamMobile, French Note II devices have already received the update on Friday.
SamMobile reports that the update brings the software on the devices to version number N7100XXUFND3. The update brings all the usual KitKat features, including the option to print wirelessly and the ability to select the default app for texting. Furthermore, version 4.4 improves the overall stability of Android. In addition, the icons in the status bar are no longer blue, but white and the battery should last longer.
The Samsung Wallet and Samsung’s mobile security suite, KNOX, are also present. There is no official information yet on whether the KitKat update for the Note II will be available in other countries soon. However, it is likely that this will not last long.
