Samsung presents Xcover smartphone with removable 4050mAh battery
Samsung has presented a sturdy smartphone in its Xcover line at CES. It’s about the Xcover Pro. The phone has a 146x63mm screen with a 6.3″ diagonal and a hole for the front camera.
The phone has a removable 4050mAh battery, according to the message that Samsung Finland has put online. The South Korean manufacturer rarely releases models with interchangeable batteries. The phone measures 165.2×76.5×9.9mm. The housing has an IP69 certification and has therefore been tested by directing a jet of water at various angles at the housing from a few meters. It is also dustproof and shock resistant.
The phone has an LCD of 146x63mm, with a surface of 95 square centimeters and a diagonal of 6.3″. The aspect ratio is 20:9 and the resolution is 2400×1080 pixels. Samsung puts its own Exynos 9611-soc in the phone, with four Cortex A73 cores at 2.3GHz and four Cortex A53 cores at 1.7GHz, assisted by an ARM Mali G72MP3 GPU.Samsung produces the soc at 10nm. The manufacturer adds 4GB memory and 64GB storage.
There are two cameras on the back. The primary camera has a resolution of 25 megapixels and there is an ultra wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels. The phone should be released in February for 499 euros.
