Samsung presents new Exynos-soc on January 12
Samsung will present its next Exynos-soc on January 12, the first day of the virtual version of electronics trade show CES. The manufacturer has announced this. It is probably the Exynos 2100.
Samsung teases the announcement with the text ‘Exynos is back’. It is unknown what that refers to: the South Korean manufacturer releases several socs every year for use in especially its own smartphones and tablets. That also happened this year. For example, the Exynos 990 is in the European version of the Galaxy S20 phones and in the 4G variant of the S20 FE.
Samsung often announces its socs separately from its new smartphones. That also seems to be happening now. It has been rumored for some time that Samsung wants to present its Galaxy S21 phones with Exynos 2100-soc at its own event on January 14. Except that it is probably a 5nm-soc, little is known about the Exynos 2100. Samsung already has a 5nm-soc in its range with the Exynos 1080 and the company also produces the 5nm-soc Snapdragon 888 for Qualcomm.
