Samsung presents Galaxy S22 series on February 9
Samsung has announced that it will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event in two weeks, where it will announce new smartphones in the S series. Most likely it concerns the Galaxy S22 series.
The S22 series is nowhere mentioned on the registration page, but the letter S is shown. The company also shows a telephone several times in the video below. Samsung has been presenting its Galaxy S smartphones at Unpacked events at the beginning of the year for years, so the company will probably want to showcase its Galaxy S22 series of phones at the event.
In the video, Samsung shows the text ‘break through the night and break the rules of the light’, while night images are shown. Samsung seems to be hinting at a smartphone camera that is good at photographing dark conditions.
The European version of the S22 phones will probably get the Exynos 2200-soc, which Samsung presented earlier. It has an AMD GPU, ray tracing and variable shading. When the S22 phones are announced, according to a leaked price list, there will be an S22, S22+ and an S22 Ultra, with 8GB to 12GB memory and 128GB to 512GB storage. The smartphone costs 849 euros for the cheapest S22 to 1449 euros for the most expensive Ultra, based on that price list. In addition, there may be S8 tablets, including an Ultra with notch.
According to XDA-Developers, Evan Blass has also obtained images of the new phones, showing the four colors of the phones. The smartphones come in black, pink, green and white.
