Samsung presents folding phone with two screens for the Chinese market

Samsung has presented a new folding phone with two screens in China. The device, called W2018, runs on a Snapdragon 835-soc and has a primary camera with an aperture of f/1.5.

The screens are both amoled copies of 4.2″, writes GizmoChina. In addition to the size, the screens also have the full HD resolution in common. According to the site, the device will be available in China through the provider China Telecom and Samsung has not yet announced a price. The specifications would indicate that it is a high-end device with a corresponding price.

The phone runs on a Snapdragon 835-soc and has 6GB of RAM. Two variants are available with storage sizes of 64 and 256GB. There is also a USB-C connection with which a battery with a capacity of 2300mAh can be charged. At release, the phone will run on Android 7.1.1. The device has a physical keyboard and weighs about 250g, according to the site.

The primary camera is a twelve-megapixel one with an f/1.5 aperture and optical image stabilization. With sufficient light, the device switches to f/2.4, claims GizmoChina. The front camera is a five-megapixel model. There is also a fingerprint scanner, which is located close to the main camera. Samsung has already released folding phones in China, for example, it came in August with the SM-G9298.
