Samsung has expanded the compatibility of Samsung S Health by adding integration with Runkeeper, Strava, Fitbit, Jawbone, Misfit and Microsoft Health among the ‘Connected services’. For example, the app can now combine the data from the different applications and devices.

With the update, Samsung hopes that the use of certain wearables from the brand will become more interesting. Until now, some more obscure fitness apps and their devices could communicate with you, such as Nike’s Qardio jogging app, but S Health still lacked the ability to connect to several popular fitness apps and read the data or transfer data to the to send services.

The added functionality is not new, but Android Police stood out. The site was surprised that Samsung itself has not publicized the added options more. Users must have updated their app to version 4.8.0 or higher. The pairing functions can be found under the Settings button under ‘Connected devices’.
