Samsung launches Galaxy Tab A, tablet for the whole family
In addition to the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, Samsung today launches the considerably more affordable Galaxy Tab A 10.5, which is described as the tablet for the family. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a 10.5 inch display (1920 x 1200 pixels TFT LCD) with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Quad Speakers offer a “3D sound” with support from Dolby Atmos. With the multi-user mode you can create multiple accounts so that every user in the family can make their own (children-tailored) interface.
Tablet for children
The Tab A is clearly also conceived for children. Standard apps have been installed, such as the Kids Browser, Galaxy for Kids and eight apps from popular brands such as LEGO Batman and Ninjago. Furthermore, as a parent you can keep control over what children watch and how long they can use the tablet via Kids Mode.
Connectivity
The enhanced connectivity features make the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 just like the more advanced Tab S4, thanks to the SmartThings app, perfectly suited as a central remote control for smart devices in the home. The Always-on daily board keeps you up to date with the latest news and includes a clock, calendar and a digital photo gallery. The Tab A 10.5 has standard 3 GB of memory and a microSD of 32 Gb, which can also be expanded to 400 Gb and is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Wifi 802.11. The weight is 529 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 with 32 GB (WiFi or LTE) is available from August 24 for a suggested retail price from 329 euros.
