Samsung is said to have set up a partnership with various game developers. The company wants to ensure that popular and future mobile games are optimized for its foldable smartphones.

According to the Korea Economic Daily the company has set up departments in five countries to ensure that more games are released for its foldables in the future: South Korea, China, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. According to the South Korean business newspaper, these countries were chosen because there are enough game developers active there, but also because the company already has sufficient activities of its own there.

The editors of the Korea Economic Daily believe that Samsung is already working with Epic Games, Krafton, NCSoft, Nexon, Smilegate, Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss. It is not clear whether this list of game developers is correct, because the company has not yet officially communicated about the rumors.

The South Korean manufacturer would like to grow the market for its foldable smartphones through mobile games. The company would also like to distinguish itself from its competitors with foldable smartphones in this way. Earlier this month, a rumor also emerged that Samsung wants to start its own gaming cloud service. Owners of Galaxy phones and tablets should not have to pay for this.
