Samsung is working on Windows tablet with 10.6″ screen
Samsung is working on a Windows tablet with a 10.6″ screen, according to an FCC approval of the device with the type number W627. Little is known about the tablet, which seems to fall into the TabPro S2 line. .
The W627 is 26.1 x 17.8 cm in size, according to the FCC inspection. If the bezels are approximately equal on all sides, that indicates a screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Samsung also uses that aspect ratio on its TabPro S tablet from last year. It has a 12-inch OLED screen with 2160×1440 pixels.
FCC does mention the screen diagonal of 10.6 “and notes that the device has a USB-C connection and supports WiFi-ac. In addition, the inspection shows that Samsung has made an attachable keyboard for the tablet.
It’s not the only rumored Samsung tablet. Previous inspection reports have already shown that a 12″ variant is on the way. The second version of the TabPro S includes a Kaby Lake processor. Samsung would also like to release a Tab S3 with Android, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820-soc and an OLED screen.
The South Korean manufacturer will hold its own event next Sunday, prior to the Mobile World Congress telecom fair, at which it will probably present new tablets. In any case, Samsung will not announce its smartphone Galaxy S8 at that event, the company said earlier.
