Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with Snapdragon 820-soc coming early April

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet at its event prior to Mobile World Congress. The tablet that runs on Android 6.0 has a 9.7 “OLED screen, a Snapdragon 820-soc and 4GB ram. The tablet will be on the market at the beginning of April for 679 euros.

Samsung supplies the Galaxy Tab S3 including a stylus. According to the manufacturer, it is an improved S Pen with a smaller nib of 0.7 mm and an increased pressure sensitivity. The pen can be used to take notes or, for example, annotate PDFs. Software is installed on the tablet for this.

The screen has a ratio of 4:3 and a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. According to Samsung, the OLED screen is suitable for watching HDR videos. Four speakers are incorporated in the housing. On the back of the Tab S3 is a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus. This allows videos to be recorded in a 4k resolution at 30fps. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera.

There is 32GB of storage available and the tablet has a micro-SD card slot. The Tab S3 has a USB-C connection and it supports fast charging according to the manufacturer. The battery has a capacity of 6000mAh and the tablet weighs about 430 grams. Samsung will release the Galaxy Tab S3 at the beginning of April for a suggested retail price of 679 euros. A variant with 4G support will be available at an additional cost, which costs 769 euros.
