Samsung Galaxy S9 will appear at FCC earlier than previous Galaxy S models
The Galaxy S9 models have already appeared on the FCC’s site. Few details can be drawn from the reports, but the publication is earlier than with previous Galaxy S models, which could indicate an early introduction.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ have appeared at the FCC under the respective model names SM-G960F and SM-965F. The publication is early compared to previous years. Droid-life lists that the S8 appeared with the FCC in March 2017 and was released in April, and for the S7, release was in February, followed by an introduction in March.
With the Galaxy Note models, there was also only a month between the FCC publication and the release, which could lead to the conclusion that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S9 in January. Evleaks reported at the end of November that Samsung wants to show the smartphone for the first time during CES, early January, but the final introduction would take place in March.
The design of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ would be almost identical to that of the S8 and S8+, according to previous reports. The smartphones are said to get stereo speakers and keep the 3.5mm jack. The fingerprint scanner is probably right under the camera, where it is still next to the camera with the Galaxy S8.
