Samsung exchanges Intel cpu for Snapdragon 850 with the new Galaxy Book
Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book 2. The device with Windows comes in single screen size, 12 inches, and unlike its predecessor has no Intel processor but a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850.
The Galaxy Book 2 has an OLED screen with diagonal of 12 inches and a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. The screen is touch-sensitive and can be operated with an S Pen, which Samsung provides. The processor is the [June announced Snapdragon 850, which Qualcomm makes especially for laptops and which is made up of eight Kryo 385 cores. The Galaxy Book 2 also has standard LTE support on board thanks to the Snapdragon X20 modem.
The 2-in-1 differs from the first generation which is in a 12 “- and 10.6” version appeared and equipped with Intel Core processors. Furthermore, the Galaxy Book 2 has 4GB ram and 128GB storage. There are two USB-c ports, a MicroSD card slot and a 3.5 mm audio connection. The front and rear cameras are respectively 5 and 8-megapixel models. By default, the PC runs Windows 10 in S Mode, which users can transfer for free to the full mode of Windows 10.
Samsung uses a recommended retail price of $ 1000 for the Galaxy Books in the US. In which other markets the 2-in -1 comes out and for which prices are not yet known.
