Samsung confirms arrival of Galaxy Buds Pro on support page
Samsung has put a support page online that confirms the existence of the Galaxy Buds Pro earplugs. Quite a few details about the earplugs have already come out through leaks, but this is the first sign of life about this product from Samsung itself.
The support page, which was on the Canadian section of the site, is already offline, but Sammobile, among others, has made a screenshot of it. The loss of the page is not very big: it only confirmed the existence of the earplugs and linked them with a product name: SM-R190.
Slides about the product leaked out around Christmas. It stated that the earplugs would cost $199 and be introduced in January. The slides mention, among other things, a battery life of up to 8 hours when audio is played. With the included case, this is increased to a maximum of 28 hours of listening time.
The earplugs would have a tweeter and a dome speaker for high and low tones, respectively. Furthermore, the slides show that the Galaxy Buds Pro earplugs offer support for the Bixby voice assistant. Another slide also mentions ‘intelligent’ noise cancellation. Samsung provides this function with a conversation mode, among other things. Users can also set the noise cancellation level. The slides also mention an ‘ambient sound’ function, in which ambient sound actually enters.
