Samsung brings Galaxy Note 10 camera features to Galaxy S10
Samsung is releasing an update for the Galaxy S10 that gives the phone a number of camera features that are already on the Note 10. These include features to stabilize videos or enhance photos, and AR Doodle.
With the update, users of the Galaxy devices will receive the Super Steady mode, among other things. This stabilizes the image during filming. Live Focus is also being brought to the S10. This is a function to blur or sharpen the background of images. The feature works for both photos and videos. The phones also get a night mode for the front camera.
In addition to the camera functions, there are also some other innovations in the update. For example, S10 owners will soon also have the option to draw themselves in 3d with AR Doodle. More interesting is the addition of DeX for PC, which allows users to see their phone interface on Windows or macOS. For example, they can drag files to the phone or respond to messages, and even use apps on the desktop.
Samsung is distributing the new features to the phones along with the September Android security patch. The software update will be released for all Galaxy S10 devices. This concerns both the standard S10 and the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+. The rollout of the firmware update has now started in Germany and Switzerland. It is not yet known when it will be the turn of other countries.
