Samsung announces Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with 10.4″ LCD
Samsung has posted the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite on its website for India. It is a midrange tablet with a 10.4 “screen and Exynos 9611-soc. The screen is an LCD and not an OLED screen as with the more expensive Tab S6 from last year.
The product page of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite states that the tablet will have an LCD with a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels. As with the more expensive Tab S6, the manufacturer includes a stylus in the form of the pressure-sensitive S Pen. To prevent this stylus from getting lost, a magnetic holder is provided.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gets the Exynos 9611 as a soc. This is an octacore made at 10nm; Samsung also uses this soc, for example, with the Galaxy A51 and the recently released Galaxy M21. The specification list states that the new tablet will have 4GB of ram and 64GB of storage space, but in other places Samsung reports that the tablet will also come out with 128GB. The storage space can be expanded up to 1TB by means of a micro-SD card.
The device has a battery with a capacity of 7040mAh and two speakers are built in. There is also a USB-C connection and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The primary camera has a resolution of eight megapixels and the front camera is a five-megapixel one. You can record videos with a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 30fps. There will also be copies with support for 4G.
Samsung presents the tablet as a light and thin; the weight is 467 grams and the dimensions are 244.5×154.3x7mm. The tablet will be introduced by Samsung in India and will be available in gray, blue and pink, but no price is mentioned yet. It is also still unclear when the tablet will be released in Europe and for what price.
