Samsung announces Galaxy Tab A 8.4 in the US
Samsung has announced its Galaxy Tab A 8.4 in the United States. There is no announcement yet for the European market. The tablet comes from various providers to function with 4g.
Samsung has put the version for Verizon Wireless on its own site. The tablet has an LCD of 18.0 x 11.3 cm with a surface of 203 square centimeters, a diagonal of 8.4 “and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This makes it a 16:10 screen.
The tablet runs on an undisclosed octacore processor with higher clocked processor cores at 1.8GHz and lower clocked at 1.6GHz. Those clock speeds correspond to, for example, Samsung’s own Exynos 7904-soc. It has four Cortex A73 cores and four Cortex A53 cores, with an ARM Mali G71MP2 GPU. Samsung adds 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage.
The tablet measures 20.2 x 12.5 cm and is 7 mm thick with a weight of 310 grams. The small tablet has a 5000mAh battery and a USB-C port for charging. The tablet retails for $280. Whether and when the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 will be released in Europe is not yet known.
