The invitation, which Samsung has put on its own site, shows a black stylus drawing a single camera lens. Since 2011, the Galaxy Note line has been the only smartphone series from Samsung with a built-in stylus, so the presence of the stylus is an indication that it concerns the presentation of Galaxy Note devices.

Moreover, the invitation is for August 7, around the time of the year that Samsung has also shown its Note devices for the first time in recent years. The presentation will take place in New York, the manufacturer says. There will be a live stream for those interested in the announcement.

Samsung speaks in the invitation of multiple devices. There have been rumors for months about multiple variants of the Note 10; a smaller, regular version and a larger Pro or Plus variant. Samsung has also been making smaller versions and a larger Plus of its Galaxy S for a few years now. The phones would not have a Bixby button or 3.5mm jack, have the screen act as a speaker and have a single hole centered at the top of the screen for the front camera. With the S10 series, that hole is at the top right.
