The updated Qled range includes the Q9F, which will be available in 55″, 65″ and 75″ sizes, followed by the Q8F with 55″ and 65″ sizes, and the Q8C with the same diagonals. According to Samsung, only the Q9F has about a technique it refers to as ‘Direct Full Array’, which should provide improved contrast by automatically adjusting the backlight within certain zones.

The other two Qled models are the Q7F and Q6F, both of which will be available in 55, 65 and 75-inch sizes, with the latter also available in 49-inch and 82-inch sizes. Samsung mentions that its new televisions have Ambient Mode, which is a kind of screensaver that uses less energy. According to Samsung, this mode should prevent people from looking at a black block when the TV is turned off. Ambient Mode should automatically adapt to the room in which the TV is located and detect the presence of people so that adapted information can be shown, such as weather or traffic information.
