Sabrent comes with a Thunderbolt 3 dock with integrated NVMe SSDs. The company offers that dock with storage capacities of up to 16TB, at a price of $2900. The company is also releasing cheaper variants with less storage.

Sabrent’s Thunderbolt 3 dock will be available in four variants, with 2TB, 4TB, 8TB and 16TB storage. It would be integrated Sabrent Rocket Q-ssds, which have a PCIe 3.0 interface and qlc-nand memory. According to the manufacturer, the integrated SSD achieves sequential speeds of up to 1.5GB/s via the dock. Sabrent does not share arbitrary read and write speeds.

At the back of the dock are two Thunderbolt 3 connections, one of which functions as an input. The dock can supply up to 96W of power to a connected laptop. Sabrent further equips the dock with three USB 3.2 Type A ports, a USB 3.2 Type C connector, an Ethernet port, an SD card reader, a DisplayPort 1.4 connector, and two 3.5mm jacks for audio and a microphone. The dock is powered via an AC connection, also writes The Verge.

Sabrent has released the Thunderbolt 3 dock in the US. The cheapest model with 2TB storage will go on sale there for 500 dollars, which, converted and including VAT, amounts to 550 euros. The 4TB variant costs 716 euros with VAT, the 8TB model costs 1432 euros and the 16TB model costs 3203 euros. Sabrent is not yet talking about availability in Europe.
