The Russian Progress space capsule launched two days ago with a Soyuz rocket has managed to dock at the International Space Station. This will finally supply the astronauts present.

NASA space agency tweeted know that the space capsule was successfully docked to the space station on Sunday morning. The Progress carries almost three thousand kilos of food, drinks and equipment. Nearly fifteen hundred kilograms of equipment for repairs and experiments, and more than 400 liters of water, have been delivered. The astronauts aboard the ISS had food and drink until October. A lot of fuel has also been delivered.

Supplying the International Space Station has been problematic lately. Two months ago, a Progress capsule became adrift, while shortly afterwards problems also occurred with the Proton M rocket, one of which crashed during the launch of a Mexican satellite. A Soyuz U rocket was used to launch the Progress capsule that did reach the space station.

Space agency SpaceX, which has been tasked by NASA to organize resupply missions, is also facing problems. Last week, a Falcon 9 rocket exploded shortly after launch. The Dragon space capsule was also lost, carrying about 2,000 kilograms of supplies for the International Space Station.
