Rumor: Valve is working on Steam feature to hide games from friends

Valve is reportedly working on a feature for Steam to be able to hide individual games. For now, users can only make all their games private or share all information about games with friends via the profile.

So far, Valve hasn’t officially announced the feature, but SteamDB maker has Pavel Djundik shows in a screenshot from an unknown version of the gaming platform the ability to mark individual games as private. It is not certain whether the feature will actually be released for the regular Steam client.

For now, users can only hide all their games or reveal all their games to friends or all Steam users. There is an option to make the total playtime of games private, but you can’t do that for individual games. For example, users may want to be able to hide specific games from Steam friends if they are pornographic games or have extreme play times.
