Rumor: Ubisoft working on new Splinter Cell game
Ubisoft has rumored to have given the green light for the production of a new Splinter Cell game. It would be the first full-fledged game in the series after the release of Splinter Cell: Blacklist in 2013.
VideoGameChronicles sources claim that Ubisoft is going to make the game to win back fans. Last year, Ubisoft announced that a Splinter Cell game is being made for Facebook’s Oculus VR platform, but news of a new game in the series for other platforms has been delayed for years. In 2018, Ubisoft claimed that it lacked the resources to create a new Splinter Cell game.
The first game in the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series appeared in 2002. Several successors followed in the years that followed. Splinter Cell: Blacklist from 2013 was the seventh title in the series. The game received good ratings from players and reviewers. The series consists of stealth shooters starring the character Sam Fisher, an agent who works for a fictional secret division of the American NSA.
