Rumor: Spotify's Hi-Fi subscription costs $5 extra per month
Spotify's subscription for high-fidelity audio will reportedly cost an additional $5 per month and will also include new options for personalized playlists for activities or times of the year, according to financial news agency Bloomberg.
The subscription should be released later this year, reports Bloomberg. In many cases the price is up to 40 percent higher. In addition to higher quality audio, customers also receive more options for generated playlists, the news agency says. Customers can create that playlist with prompts, after which the service tries to find the right songs. Ultimately this should work without prompts.
Spotify has not responded to the rumor, but already announced the subscription in 2021. That subscription has not been available until now. Instructions for a quick arrival of the subscription could already be found in the desktop app.
