Samsung is recalling the review models of the Galaxy Fold. Reuters reports this based on an anonymous source within the company. Samsung wants to further investigate the broken screens in review models.

After Samsung announced on Monday that the Galaxy Fold will be released later than expected, Reuters brings the rumor on Tuesday that the review models will also be recalled. The company would like to investigate the broken screens. In some cases, reviewers peeled off a layer that they saw as a screen protector from the phone. On Twitter it turned out that reviewers were warned not to remove the layer. That warning turned out not to be clear enough or was not in place on all models.

Before the release of its smartphone, Samsung released a video in which the folding mechanism of the Galaxy Fold is tested. The company then indicated that the device was designed to be able to be opened and closed 200,000 times.
