Samsung is planning the release of three devices in a new line called Galaxy A. The three devices are said to have a metal design and front cameras that shoot in a higher resolution than Samsung’s current smartphones.

Samsung would like to release the three devices before the end of September, reports Sammobile, which has a good reputation in the field of rumors about Samsung products. It concerns the telephones with the type numbers A300, A500 and A700. Those are three type numbers that Samsung used for folding phones about ten years ago.

The A500 and A700 would have an HD screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels; the A300 has to make do with a screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. This makes it obvious that these are cheaper devices. The size of the screens is unknown. Like the recently presented Galaxy Alpha, the phones would have a metal construction. The front camera could also take pictures in higher resolutions than those of other Galaxy phones. Unlike many competitors, Samsung has so far mainly used front cameras with a maximum resolution of two megapixels.

With the release within a month, the presentation of the three devices should follow soon. The next opportunity is next week, when Samsung gives a press conference prior to the IFA electronics fair in Berlin. There it will most likely present the Galaxy Note 4, in addition to presumably an Oculus Rift-like smartphone accessory.
