Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Watch6 models will have a larger battery than Watch5
The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic are said to have a larger battery than the Watch5. It would be a 300mAh battery for the small models and a 425mAh battery for the large variants. The Watch5 Pro does have a larger battery, namely 590mAh.
The possible specifications of Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches have been mentioned online by a Chinese regulator, reports SamMobile. The 44mm model of the Watch6 and the 46mm model of the Watch6 Classic would both have the larger 425mAh battery. With the Galaxy Watch5, that was still 410mAh in the 44mm version. The 40mm version of the Watch6 and the 42mm version of the Watch6 Classic will reportedly have a 300mAh battery. That was 284mAh with the 40mm variant of Watch5.
With the current generation of the Galaxy Watch, there is no longer a Classic model as in the Galaxy Watch4 series. Instead, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro was introduced. Earlier there were rumors about the arrival of a Galaxy Watch6 Pro. This would have a rotating bezel, like the Watch4 Classic. It is not entirely clear whether or not there will be a Pro model this year. It is possible that the Watch6 Classic was referred to in earlier reports. Samsung has not yet announced a release date for the new wearables. Usually Samsung smartwatches appear in August.
