Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released on June 24
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released on June 24. This is what leaker Arsène Lupine writes. Earlier this week, alleged images of the budget smartwatch already appeared. On Tuesday, the same leaker also mentioned a suggested retail price for the watch.
Leaker Arsene Lupin writes on X that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released on June 24, but does not share any further information. Said earlier the same user already states that the watch will cost 199 euros. The leaker previously released correct information about, among other things the ASUS Rog Ally and AI features of the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphones.
According to previous rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be a budget smartwatch that has many similarities in terms of specifications with the Galaxy Watch4 from 2021. This is how the watch will get Reportedly the same Exynos W920 chip, a 247mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. However, the screen of the 40mm smartwatch is somewhat smaller: 1.2″ instead of 1.4″. The resolution is also slightly lower, with 396×396 pixels instead of 450×450 pixels.
According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, the watch will be equipped with the WearOS-based operating system One UI 5 Watch. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 smartwatches that will be released later this year will probably be equipped with One UI 6 Watch.
Ambhore has also shared alleged renders of the Galaxy Watch FE this week. This shows that the similarities with the 2021 Samsung clock are not only limited to the specifications. The appearance has also largely remained the same, including equally thick bezels. The watch strap is a bit different. Like the Watch6, it now includes a button that allows users to release the strap with a click.
