Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will get 5.7″ screen with 2560×1440 pixels
Samsung seems to want to provide the successor of the Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.7 “screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. This means that the screen of the as yet unannounced smartphone is the same size as the Galaxy Note 3, but the resolution has been increased considerably.
That says GSM Arena, which received a list of specifications of the Galaxy Note 4. According to the source, the device, which is internally known by Samsung under the code name Muscat, will have a 5.7″ screen with quad-hd resolution, which amounts to 2560×1440 pixels. This brings the number of pixels per inch to 515. Further specifications were added. not disclosed. The 5.7″ screen of the Galaxy Note 3 has to make do with 1920×1080 pixels.
The source of GSM Arena also mentions the Galaxy S5 Prime, a souped-up version of the current Galaxy S5 that has previously been rumored. The site confirms with its source that the device has a 5.2″ screen with a quad-HD resolution.
Previous rumors about the Galaxy Note 4 have mentioned a flexible screen that extends over the edges. Samsung has been working on flexible screens for a long time, but has only gradually incorporated them into smartphones. The Korean manufacturer would like to release the Galaxy Note 4 sometime in the second half of this year.
