Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 gets stylus and camera setup from Galaxy S20+
Samsung is reportedly going to provide the successor to its Fold smartphone with a new variant of the S pen, the stylus that the manufacturer has supplied with its Note devices so far. The Fold 2 may also get a camera behind the screen.
Max Weinbach, author of XDA Developers, shares some details about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 on Twitter. At the front of the device would be an Infinity V screen. That is a screen with a v-shaped notch for the camera. The foldable screen on the inside will either have a small camera hole or a camera behind the screen, Weinbach claims. The journalist previously came out with correct information about the Galaxy S20 models.
According to the author, Samsung will deliver its new foldable smartphone with a stylus. It would be a new form of the S Pen, but details about it are unknown. The device would have the same camera setup as the Galaxy S20+. If that’s true, there would be four cameras on the back. The primary camera and ultra-wide-angle camera on the S20+ have a 12-megapixel sensor and there is a 64-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens. The fourth camera is a time-of-flight sensor.
Samsung would release a ceramic variant of the Galaxy Fold 2 and a stainless steel version. The device is said to come in blue, silver, gold, pink and black colors. Samsung itself has not yet given any details about the Fold 2. At the end of January, Samsung said it would introduce more smartphones with a folding screen in the near future. Last week, the company presented the Galaxy Z Flip.
