Rumor: Samsung Galaxy A9 has four cameras on the back

Details have been leaked about the Galaxy A9, a smartphone from Samsung with four cameras on the back. The camera would have a regular lens, telephoto lens and wide-angle lens and a fourth camera for measuring depth.

The German website AllAboutSamsung has put the details of the Galaxy A9 online and made a render. According to the website, that render shows the appearance of the device, but it is not an official image of the manufacturer itself.

The primary camera of the Galaxy A9 has a 24-megapixel sensor, an aperture of f/1.7 and optical image stabilization. The second one is a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens, for measuring depth. This sensor is not used to take pictures, but supports the primary sensor.

Furthermore, Samsung gives the A9 an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens with an angle of view of 120 degrees and an aperture of f/2.4. The fourth camera has a 10-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens, which offers approximately 2x optical zoom over the primary camera. In front of this sensor is a lens with an aperture of f/2.4.

According to the information from the German website, the device has a 6.28″ screen with a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera with an f/1.7 lens. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back and the battery. has a capacity of 3720mAh and the device will have a USB-C connection.

The device is rumored to have a Snapdragon 660-soc, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory. Samsung would like to announce the device on October 11. That is obvious, because Samsung sent an invitation with the slogan ‘4x fun’ to the media. It is not yet clear what the phone will cost. The Galaxy A8 came out at the beginning of this year for 499 euros.
