Rumor: Samsung Galaxy A50 gets OLED screen and three cameras on the back

A list with extensive specifications has been published for the Samsung Galaxy A50, A30 and A10. These three models, positioned under the Galaxy S10 series, were to be announced at Mobile World Congress.

The most advanced model of the line-up that falls under Samsung’s top models is the Galaxy A50. That device will reportedly get a 6.4″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a teardrop-shaped notch for the front camera. Samsung calls it Infinity U. There is probably an Exynos 9610-soc in the device, a chip that Samsung made last year announced in March.

The Galaxy A50 would have three cameras on the back: a primary 25-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel camera for estimating depth and an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens. There will be versions with 4GB or 6GB ram and 64GB or 128GB flash storage.

The A30 is positioned below the A50, which has the same screen, but a less fast soc and two instead of three cameras. With this device, the fingerprint scanner is located at the back, while the one with the A50 is behind the screen, as already apparent from photos of the housing.

The Galaxy A10 will be the cheapest model and will probably get a 6.2 “LCD instead of an OLED screen. This device has a slower SOC, one camera on the back and still uses a micro USB connection. All three A models would get a 4000mAh battery.

The specifications have been put online by MySmartPrice, a site from India that has often published correct information about smartphones. There have been indications for some time about the arrival of the new Galaxy A models. MySmartPrice claims that Samsung will announce the phones at the Mobile World Congress at the end of this month and that they will be released worldwide.

If the specifications are correct, the Galaxy A50 will have fewer cameras than last year’s top model in the A-series. The Galaxy A9, which came out at the end of 2018, has four cameras. The A7 positioned below is equipped with three cameras.
