Red Dead Redemption 2 may get a battle royale mode, the Trusted Reviews website reports based on the game’s development notes. It may be a similar gaming experience to that of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite.

In addition to a multiplayer mode in the battle royale genre, there will be a survival mode where two teams have to compete against each other in a limited time to stay alive. There will also be a mode called ‘Money Grab’, where two teams have to grab bags of money at a central location on the playing field. This loot must then be returned to base.

Trusted Reviews comes with the information based on developer notes that the website got their hands on in August of last year. The information was not yet released at the time, because it was still unconfirmed data. Rockstar has not yet officially confirmed the information, but according to the website, based on promotional material from Red Dead Redemption 2, much of the information in the notes has been shown to be correct. That is why Trusted Reviews believes it is accurate information.

The notes would also state that both the single player campaign and the multiplayer modes can be played in a first person perspective. Furthermore, the open world would have more depth than was previously the case. For example, NPCs would decorate shop premises and clear things up by nightfall. During online sessions, players gain access to a number of shops where the NPCs can provide them with gear and missions. Players will also receive rewards for completing certain quests. A special app would also be released along with the game.

In early February, Rockstar announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26. Last year, the developer mentioned a release date that would be in the spring of 2018. Before that, there was already a delay: initially the game would appear in the fall of 2017, but Rockstar was then also forced to postpone this.

The game is about the cowboy Morgan, who travels with the Van der Linde gang through the Wild West of North America, stealing and committing robberies in order to survive. The game is out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
